Text
In general, text will be unaffected by printing. Make sure that margins and font sizes fit well on the card, and that math formulas have no oddities that will cause characters or symbols to print incorrectly. Also, make sure that text fits into blocks or boxes without scrolling -- on the printed page, scrolling text will not be readable.
Images
1. Images made for the web or screen are typically 72 dpi (dots per inch). For printing purposes, we need a higher resolution, typically closer to 300 dpi, so that the image will not appear blurry on the page. We do not want to resize smaller images to be larger, but to author the images so they look good at the target size.
2. The maximum size of our card (non-full-screen) is approximately 900x700 pixels. At 300 dpi, we want this card to be able to fill an A4 sheet horizontally -- this corresponds to a physical size of about 7.5x6 inches. To print at our most common aspect ratio and to fill the whole page, the resolution should be 2250x1800.
  
  We will not use a single image to fill an entire card, so here are some common image sizes that represent fractions of the total area.
5. Note: These sizes are approximate, but can be used as targets for ideal printability. Bigger is better, up to these limits, and we should attempt to make most images come close to these sizes without going over.

Tables
1. Tables should be printable without modification. Follow the text layout guidelines, and make sure that there is no scrolling visible in any cell.
